Corner on Wheat!

Who remembers the game of Pit?  Growing up, our family spent many nights at our close friends, the Paddocks.  John and Carolyn were good friends of my parents.  I seem to remember getting together at their house more than ours...  in fact, I guess I remember always going to their house.

One of the things we did the most was to play Pit...  it was loud, fast, I don't remember who won, but I do remember we couldn't wait to get together and play.  Corner on wheat!  If we weren't playing Pit, it was usually Pitch...  high-low-jack and game.  It was always fun, always loud and exciting to spend a night at the Paddocks.

What brought on this "I Remember" moment?  I got home tonight, was checking out Facebook and found an entry from Cindy Paddock McCabe with some old pictures that brought back the memories.  I often wish life were easier as it was back then...  fewer cares and worries and much more happiness.  I'm not saying life has not been fun and happy, I just miss the good old days sometimes...  not sure I like the getting older part!  haha.
