Families

This past weekend, my mother's side of the family celebrated a family reunion.  We have not had a "formal" family gathering of such in 28 years.  It was fun and long over due.  My cousin Sandy was the workhorse and made it all happen, just as she did 28 years ago at her house on Peru Road, my old stomping grounds.

What is unique about family is they are family forever.  For the good, the bad and perhaps the ugly some of us have been through...  the friends and strained relationships that we have all gone through, the one key factor is that family was all there, just because we are family.  Family is usually the only ones that will stand by you forever.  I am thankful for my family.

I remember when the Greeley side of our family had it's first reunion after many, many years of separation.... we talked about not letting the years go on without having a gathering or two.  We did for a couple of years, but have gone without for several years again.  Today, there is only 1 Greeley left that I am aware of from my parents generation.  There are still 3 Ceratt's siblings from my parents generation.  I urge all the cousins to continue on with celebrations, if not every year, how about every other year?

Family should come first.
